We believe that being church is about much more than just attending Sunday services: first and foremost it's about our own relationship with Jesus every day. God longs to have an ongoing close personal relationship with each one of us that is full of life, hope, peace and love... and which is constantly growing and deepening. Jesus said that He came to give us abundant life!

Here at River we offer many different opportunities to help you to grow in your relationship with God, whether you are just exploring the Christian faith or wanting to walk in a deeper experience of Him. Alpha, Bible Reading Plans, River Streams, Leadership Development, Growing in God and many others are all designed to encourage us onward in our discipleship journey.

We also want to build good friendships and community across the congregation, encouraging each other as we grow in our faith. Small Groups are a key part of this - they are places where people can be cared for and grow in God, as well as making friends and spending time together socially.
