Gill Robinson - Hope
My hope is based on things unseen
The peace and the joy Jesus gave to me
Knowing the safety of His arms
Whatever the challenge of life’s alarms
Hope is my anchor, in times of storm
The rock on which new life is born
That stands against the roughest waves
With faith in the only one that saves
To His word God’s always true
Keeping each promise to me and to you
He’s always faithful, He can’t lie
To bring us hope, He chose to die
Hope is the fruit of my faith in Him
To take to others and freedom bring
To Satan’s captives and those who mourn
Joy as they see a new day dawn
Hope, like a stream of living water
Quenches the thirst of His son or daughter
Hope like a well-spring from deep within
Cleansing His child from every sin
A Hope that enables me to know
That I in Christ will daily grow
Until that day He takes me home
To reign with Him on heaven’s throne
