Our gatherings include an opportunity to be prayed for, a welcome, a time of sung worship, communion (monthly); a talk, which is often an opportunity to share and reflect on God; and an offering. They are usually dynamic times, led by the Holy Spirit, with teaching that is practical and encouraging from River Church's large number of gifted speakers.

We welcome families and children of any age and provide specific activities for them, compliant with relevant safeguarding regulations

We also stream our meetings via Zoom for those who are unable to be with us in person. If you'd like to join this way click here at 10:15 every Sunday to get connected. Please note that if we don't recognise your name someone will ask you privately via Zoom's chat feature to introduce yourself (just say how you found out about our meeting). This is one of our procedures to safeguard our meetings.

Once or twice a year we meet with our other River Churches at what we call a 'River Togethermeeting which is held in Marlow, or in Maidenhead at Altwood School.

If you would like more details about our gatherings please read the rest of this page or feel free to contact us. We will be delighted to see you and will always do our best to welcome and encourage you, wherever you are on your journey with God.

More info

What to wear

You certainly don't need to put on your 'Sunday best' - some of us dress very informally so you are unlikely to feel out of place wearing whatever you find comfortable.

Where should I park?

There is plenty of car parking on site. Please enter the school via the Bobmore Lane entrance. Look out for our banners and our welcome team.

Children and Youth

At around 11.15am children - newborn 'RiverTots' to school year 6 'Sub' - are accompanied by their parent / guardian to their appropriate groups where they have activities aimed at helping them to understand and get to know Jesus as a friend in a fun and relaxed way. 'Edge', for those at Secondary school, usually also leaves the main meeting for their own activities. NB your children remain your responsibility at all times except when they are in these groups.

Communion

Once a month we come together in what Christians call Communion. This is an important act of remembering what Christ did for us and together to renew our commitment to Jesus.

We welcome anyone and everyone who has faith in Jesus as their Saviour, and their children, to join us as we take communion. We don't have a set format so simply follow the guidance given at the time by the gathering leader.

Can I get prayed for?

Yes, definitely. If you would like prayer please speak to the person you came with, a Welcomer, or the meeting leader.

Offering

You are under no obligation to give any money into our offering as this is primarily for church members. But equally please do not hesitate to give if you want to do so. If you are a UK taxpayer and wish to Gift Aid your offering, please put your details on the outside of the envelopes (which can be found in the offering baskets) and your money inside.

The Talks

Almost all our Sunday meeting talks are recorded and made available for free download. You can also browse our online recordings archives.

We hope this page has answered most of your questions, but if not please don't hesitate to contact us.
