Forest Estate Community Hub

Launched in 2012, in the old British Legion building the Forest Estate Community Hub, is managed by The Journey in partnership with residents, schools, charities, agencies and local government including Runnymede Borough Council.

The Hub aims to provide an inclusive and attractive environment where all residents of the Forest Estate, especially children and young people, can access helpful services, enjoyable activities and a space everyone can use for social events, clubs & ventures: acting as a catalyst for raising individual and community aspirations and building pride in our Estate.

The Hub was honoured in 2017 to receive the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

Since its opening, the Hub has offered services and enjoyable activities for the community which include youth and children’s clubs and activities, employment and skills courses, cafe and garden project, community lunches, film club, community days and much more. There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer at the Hub – so please do let us know if you are interested.
