Monday 20th January - Sunday 9th February
“Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for His miraculous power constantly energises you.”
Ephesians 3:20 (TPT)
God in His infinite wisdom chooses to partner with us on this earth to bring in the kingdom. The way we partner together is through prayer. Prayer is our communication with our loving God.
Across River, we want to go deeper in the ways of Jesus this year, to see our churches growing and our lives full of fresh spirit-filled stories. This starts with prayer. How exciting!
So we are having a period of extended prayer as a church family, supported by fasting (see attached What is Fasting?
). Please do join in with our ‘21 Days of Prayer & Fasting’ as we seek God in this important season.
Pray & Fast!
In addition to your usual devotion time, attempt to pray for a minimum of 30 minutes on the days you are choosing, using one or more of the Prayer Topics
. You can break it up into smaller time slots if that works well for you. If Holy Spirit leads you to do more, then go for it!
On your chosen days, we encourage you to try and FAST something, such as...
a meal – or even more than one if you’re brave! (and medically able) OR a certain type of food, eg. coffee, cake, sugar; OR
a daily activity, eg. Social media, TV/radio; OR
whatever else you feel that Holy Spirit is leading you to give up
Sign up for your prayer slots by:
Using the ‘Sign Up’ sheet available on Sundays
Email email@example.com listing the days you’ll be praying & fasting, e.g. Mon 20th Jan, Mon 27th Jan, Mon 3rd Feb
We are expectant. As we pray together, we believe we will see God's transforming power at work...and see His Kingdom come!
“For I will do whatever you ask Me to do when you ask Me in my name. And that is how the Son will show what the Father is really like and bring glory to Him. Ask me anything in My Name, and I will do it for you!”
John 14:13-14 (TPT)
