Dear Colin,

Jayamasiha!

I am always keen to share with you the activities and the situations of our ministries. And I believe it keeps you updated and it shows how important you are for us, our ministries and our region. It is you and brother Milan who have invested alot to make our ministries so special and a blessing to the Himalayan people and churches. Especially in the areas of youth, women, pastors and the training, you have been such a blessing that many people would share with us how they were blessed through your presence and your ministries. Many people who have spent times in the spiritual revival meetings where you spent times, talk about you and how they were touched by the Spirit of God. I believe it is great to report on these things what I see and hear about you.

RachelToday I want to update about our Ex-Student, Rachel Sunuwar from Okhaldhunga, which I believe gladdens your heart. She is our last year student, and is daughter of Pastor Tek Ram Sunuwar.

She came to Jiri last Thursday on her own works in the down town, Linkan. On Thursday evening, she came to Hatdada. It was wonderful to spend time with her, as she was also doing great spending times with the ladies students in the training center. On Friday and Saturday she stayed with us and we had a good talk on the ministries that she is doing. I was personally blessed to hear what she was doing in her regions.

It takes one full day on foot to arrive from her house to Jiri, but for me it takes 3 and half days, she says, which was interesting. I was honored to invite this lovely daughter of God with her friend to my house to eat together on Saturday evening. Here is her story:

Although she was brought up in the Christian family and her dad is a pastor, she never felt that she was a Christian. She never realize that God has done alot for her and there are something that she has to do for God for His love. She never experienced the spiritual life that bears fruits in the spiritual realm. She never knew that she is a Christian and she has to live life worthy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She used to collect friends, boys and girls during the time of worship and never paid attention to the church and worship, instead she would lead gangs in the villages and caused fights. What a terrible situation !!!

But God led her to the RLBTC, from where indeed the river of life flows, and continues to flow to the hearts people and then flows from them to the other people of the community of faith and out of the community of faith. Even when she first came to the training center, she was full of arrogance, she said. As she was nurtured in the Bible School with the love and the word of God she began to change herself gradually. Now she is amazed to see what she is doing for God, sometimes it is hard for her to believe the change in her life. She gives all the credit to the RLBTC. She is very much grateful to all the teachers and spiritual guardians who played vital role in changing her life to be a useful vessel for God's works.

She works in a remote village of Okhaldhunga district. We cannot find much people who have been trained in the Bible schools. People from a long walk of 4 hours come to attend church on Saturday. Beside assisting her leaders in the church, she leads youth group which is generally a difficult task in the church, she teaches children in the Sunday School which takes place on Saturday in Nepal. Beside all these things, she goes to follow up new believers walking for hours. The nearest village where she goes to house fellowship to teach them and pray for them is a one hour walk. She sometimes walks for four hours to go to a daughter church to lead the service and preach from the word of God. She has been proved to be a blessing for her church. A friend of her told that she is one of the key persons of their church. Her father could take her to Kathmandu for her further study, but she chose to work for the Lord in the village. She is doing such a wonderful work that some people cannot imagine. In the Nepali society, women are always looked over and they are considered weak, but when the Spirit of the Lord resides in them, they can do such thing that even men cannot imagine.

Rachel in the middle

She shared of her prayer ministries and people being healed and coming to the Lord. But at the same time she is quite sad that there are no enough people who want to work for God from their hearts. She requests us to pray for her church and the Christian youth in the district. She is trying to unite the youth of the district for God's works, and many challenges appear as she tries these. We have to pray for her works and the attempt of bringing together the youth of the district so that they could work passionately for His Kingdom. At last she is very much thankful to the HUCFN and RLBTC for letting her to enroll for the training and giving the opportunity to not only know about God but to know God personally. She sends greetings to Pastor Colin and Elder Milan and even in behalf of her church.

Please pray that we are praying for a gathering of our students who have been sent to their fields after the training. That day will be sharing of the ministries and eating together. That day will be a day of refreshing for all of them and even for us as we hear the reports back from them.

We are very much happy that more than 80% of our ex-students are working in the Kingdom of God. I am sorry if this long stuff kills your time, but still I cannot stay without sharing these things with you, because you love us and we love you dearly.

Much prayer

Anand and HUCFN

It is always so fantastic to read these stories. We should be proud both of our involvement and of course of Colin and Sadie who pioneered this work.

In England we moan about driving 20 mins to Church! Amazing stories, what a privilege we enjoy being part of this.
