Giving to Haiti As many of you know, Dave Vann and I (Sandra Bullen) are involved with Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian relief and development charity.    Samaritan’s Purse has a team of 19 people on the ground in Haiti, including 8 doctors. They are focussing on building 600 shelters and providing ½ million gallons of fresh water by 23rd January.   It occurred to Dave and I that people in River may want to donate to help the aid work after the earthquake, and giving to a Christian aid and development charity may have greater appeal than a secular one.
