Slough Neighbourhood Groups
We have set up Neighbourhood Groups in Slough to facilitate pastoral care, building of community, prayer and reaching out to those around us.
The area served by River Church Slough has been divided up into four parts with one individual or couple appointed as the leaders of the Group covering that patch. They work closely with the congregational Leadership Team - indeed at present they are mostly Leadership Team members - but we do want to see that change as the church grows and more people take on the role of NG leadership.
Their role is to ensure that the people within their Neighbourhood Group are cared for; to develop community and relationships between the members; to welcome new people into the life of the Group and River Church; and to ensure that prayer for their area, fellowship and good communication is taking place. Our aim is to see every member cared for so that as a congregation we are growing in relationship with God, each other and those around us who do not yet know the wonderful love of God!

Thanks go to all our Neighbourhood Leaders for taking on this extra role in our church family, and especially to Malcolm and Kerry for whom this is a quite a new area of responsibility. It is our hoped that every member of Slough congregation will pray and support their Neighbourhood Group, their leaders and their area.
For a list of suggested homes for our folk please see the slide show that Tom presented on Sunday, but this is not cast in stone! Call Tom or any of our NG leaders if you feel you should belong in a different group. And....apologies if your name is missing from these lists - please call Tom and get included in!
And don't forget, we are keen to split the Slough North area up into a more managable size, so let us know if NG leadership is something you feel called to undertake.
